MISSION STATEMENT


Our mission is to promote awareness of the Villages of Howard and Suamico's heritage and aiding in their preservation through identifying, recording, managing and providing access to their information.

COLLECTING HOWARD-SUAMICO ITEMS OF HISTORICAL INTEREST: 

Local vintage photos, drawings, maps, memoirs, military or family photos & artifacts, journals/diaries, artwork, documents & ads, souvenirs, heirlooms, keepsakes, postcards, newspaper articles, books, antiques, etc. Also missing the following years of Bay Port Yearbooks:  '71-'75, '77, '80-'88, '91, '94, '97, 2002.  If you have any items to donate, please contact Barb Styczynski (434-0525), or Mary Steffen (434-2947),.

The 2019 calendars are ready.  $4.00 for each copy. A great collection of pictures and interesting historical facts are included on each page .... you won't want to miss it!

Annual Meeting and Banquet: The fourteenth annual banquet will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Townline Bar and Grill, 2544 Lineville Road in the Village of Howard. The festivities start at 5:00 p.m. with cocktails, followed by a dinner of chicken and tenderloin tips with all the fixings at 6:00 p.m.. The election of officers and entertainment will follow. 
We will have numerous door prizes as well as a bucket raffle. The cost per person is $16.00 and money can be sent to Howard-Suamico Historical Society, 605 Maywood Avenue, Green Bay, WI 54303.

Movie in the Park: The Suamico Park Department will be hosting a movie in the park at our historical site (Ancestry Acres) 12787 Velp Avenue starting on Wednesday, June 12 with the showing of Incredibles 2, followed by June 26, Mary Poppins Returns, July 17 teen night and the showing of Bumblebee (PG13) and finishing the summer with August 7 and the showing of Shrek. If you will be attending, please bring a blanket or lawn chair. In case of inclement weather, our barn will be opened up to get you out of the weather.




Barb Styczynski receives The Community Service Award from the Howard-Suamico Lions Club in appreciation for her contributions and services to our communities on April 17, 2019. Congratulations Barb
